It was thought by many that an 'Unknown' would be picked for the New Doctor, David Tennant was hardly known when he got the roll as the Doctor (I only knew him from Harry Potter)

I heard about the news this morning and spent the first 5mins wondering who the hell he was...
I kinda don't like this new actor, but as I can't pass judgement until I see him as the Doctor, my hatred for him is unofficial...

Apparently, he has already worked with Billie Piper 3 times, which for some reason they find relevant...

Well that's my view...

Hrm, they seem to be following the 'great hair' thing with him, although going even more massive...

He actually looks kinda creepy. I hope its just the photo and won't be reflected in his acting!

I'll be reserving judgement till I see him playing the Doctor and hoping that the producers know what they are doing (although David Tennant will always be my Doctor /sob/).

Apparently they are going to make the Doctor slightly darker, you know, play up how lonely he is and stuff.
Which will be kinda lame...
But, so long as he still has epic childishness and long rambling talks about things no one else can understand, I'll be happy.

And I hope he meets up with Cap'n Jack again.

Well he is better than the dude from the christmas special.

He is young yeah. I think thats the point though. Read a thing ages and ages ago that said that the doctor is ment to regenerate younger as he grows older. Also it tries to get more teens into Dr Who

I really wanta know how he is going to spin the doctors character.

He does look odd but then again I hated the look of Tennet when he first popped up.
Christopher Eccleston's jacket REALLY didn't suit him.

We just have to wait and see.

However with Steven Moffat writing it still going to be a WICKED new series.

David Morissey was the Guy from this years Xmas Special...I spent most of it refusing to believe he was the next Doctor, as it was rumoured to be him....Thank god for what happened at the end...lol

But they already did that! The 9th Doctor was the dark and lonely one.

Agree about the childishness and rambling, it's one of may fav parts of the Doctor's personality XD

haha but the one thing i wont to put is what did people think of tennant when he turned up??coz i thought he looked and acted horred but now that he has had sometime (actually just after he walked out of the tardis on the sicoracks?? ship) i grew to like him

I thought, when I first saw him, that he suck big time, then I saw the season 2 opener and Loved his version of the doctor!! Very Happy

It might be the same with Matt Smith, but I really say until we see him as the Doctor....

i want to see how they "kill off" the current doctor as he has so far survived all of the major enemies so far are they going to have a combined dalek,cybermen,master,satan and chuck norris battle cause it looks like that is what it is going to take to kill him

I love the new doctor it only means that this is not the end ^^....
I dont get how ppl can hate anything about him, its a new start and as i remember this is the same reaction ppl give to any of the other doctors, but i guess thats just the way ppl are...

Dose anyone know how long he's signed for???

Also... i will change the movie section to include TV aswell ^^

i belive that the old doctor will be killed by the tardis itself as this is the only thing i can discern would be powerful enough and we all ready know who the new companion is and a few of their adventures and the way it ends

the compainion is the girl from the library planet who said she was the doctors comapanion and knew his name
