It’s easy just finish the sentence.
Answers can be as short or as long as you want.
They can be based of real things that have happened to you.
Or fake ‘wouldn’t it be funny if…’s

E.g
You know you’re a cosplayer when…
Like a Star @ heaven

you always look at the character that you want to cosplay and try to separate the costume (how can i do it?)
Like a Star @ heaven

your closet is filled with more costumes than "real clothes" (and when you say that Like a Star @ heaven

you put real clothes in quotation marks)
Like a Star @ heaven

your room is now your "closet" and your closet is your "armory".
Like a Star @ heaven

No matter where you are or what you are doing you'll see something that is "perfect for [insert character]" even if you have no intention of ever making that costume.
Such as when you're in a pet store and see the aquarium air filter tubing and think you could convert that into part of a costume or you are in a kitchen supply store and think if you take apart the garlic press you could use it as part of a prop. Or perhaps in the automotive department and thought you could use a hubcap for a shield or armor. So many stores, so many possible cosplay supplies...

You get annoyed when a complete stranger on the street is wearing something that would go PERFECT with your latest cosplay and consider asking them where they got it from.

I didn't actually have the guts to go up to them though T.T

Your parents are no longer surprised when you ask to go to Spotlight to buy material.
Your grandparents are no longer surprised when you ask for wigs.
Your aunty is surprised that you are asking for make up for Christmas

haha that happened to m xD Me & my friend Hannah were in town and walked pat a woman and I just wen t'OMG that coat would be PERFECT for Yoite! It even has the white stitching! It'd just have to be the other way around... *watches as random woman walks away*'

Oh my god I totally do this! And then I realise just *where* on their clothing I'm looking (usually very close to upskirt or around the hips kind of area) and I freak out and feel like a pervert. :C

You know you're a cosplayer when you can't sleep at night because you're too busy mentally unpicking how a costume is made/could be made.

You know you're a cosplayer when your first reaction to a character is 'that would make a cool cosplay' and not their personality/importance to the story.
