[CHCH] Armageddon 2014 NEED A ROXAS URGENTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

EDIT AS OF 16/1/14 I NEED A ROXAS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BASICALLY MOST OF THE OTHER MEMBERS HAVE HAD TO PULL OUT AND I FEEL
TO BE A GOOD AXEL I SHOULD HAVE MY ROXAS WITH ME! PLEASE MESSAGE ME IF YOU CAN COSPLAY AS ROXAS FOR CHCHGEDDON OR KNOW SOMEONE WHO IS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I really should post here more, I'm like a ghost member
I know this is extremely early but I've learned from past experience to start early or you run out of time.

So, an Organisation 13 group coplay from Kingdom Hearts,

The problem I'm having is that none of my friends (except maybe one or two) will actually listen and commit to this and
I'm panicing that I will end up with not enough people, so would anyone be interested in being part of the Organisation 13 group cosplay and Armageddon CHCH 2014?

Are you willing to make your own costume and weapons (if you buy it you can't enter competitions) we can all help each other though
Do you have a particular character you want (please know their personality and such)
AXEL AND ROXAS ARE TAKEN, 8 AND 13.
if you don't like Yaoi/Yuri (because technically speaking, there will be both) or wont put in the time for this don't bother

Now, because this is so early and some might view it as unfair, I am allowing first pick to go to my friends.
Simply because I know them and I'll see them. However, if you really want to cosplay someone I don't mind double ups too much.

On another note, we may be planning a keyblade battle too

Right now my plans are free so i'd totally be willing to go as either Xion or Xemnas because some of my friends were also trying to get a group together, but we weren't that successful, i'd be willing to put 100% of my being into making outfits from scratch and trying props >3< ALSO i totally understand why you're getting it early, like you said the earlier the better and just all the fun/love for cosplay~ *also my friends were like.......i'd have fun finding boots to get height for xemnas cosplay~*

I'm going to have the same height problem for Axel so I know the feeling haha, but he's like my favorite character so I'm gonna pull it off.... somehow.

<3<3<3 I'll have to ask them and see if they would be able too, so excited at this though~i've been a fan of the series for quite a while but the cosplay has always been too like.....omghowdoistartthiswouldidocharacterjustice moments.....and yes you pull it off! Height is frustrating but luckily there are ways around it >3

I've told everyone i have a cosplayer for Xion/Xemnas so basically you get first pick currently

and it'd be cool if your friends were able to Very Happy

I somehow don't think I'll have enough people who'd put effort into it out of my friends and I don't want just half an organisation

Okay, so within my friends, this just isn't going to work. They aren't willing to put in the time for it. I DEFINATELY know that Axel, Roxas and Xion/Xemnas (depending on who you go for) are taken but the rest are free pick. I really want to do a whole organisation XIII cosplay! So please join

I think that it would be best/easier for me if i put myself down as Xion~I'll start saving money so that i'll be able to get to the christchurch geddon too~definitly looking forward to seeing this group happen~i don't think that my friends would be able to do it though...most of them are younger and still in highschool so they wouldn't be able to get to the geddon, the reason i would be able too is due to uni, more flexible timetable^^/ but when you start making/putting the outfits/cosplays together keep me updated *will be motivation to start myself*~ and i'll definitely be wanting to chat more so we can do props etc >3

faaaa just rereading the whole yaoi thing and realising that i'd totally want to cosplay a guy for this group so i could do that......but then realising that i'm a girl......*the only time i do a girl cosplay there is going to be yaoi.....T^T////whyimissoutonthebeststuff////* oh i also made a post on my facebook so i'm hoping that some other people will find it and then this page too~SPREADING THE WORD OF KINGDOM HEARTS!

Also, I wanna say thanks.
Because of the fact that you guys will be attending as characters of a friend of mine's favourite video game, I've managed to convince her to come along and say hi! (Not even slightly weird. σ(^_^;))
She originally, despite liking the sort of things that are at the expo, was unsure about coming (feeling out of her depth etc etc) and I got vibes that she was drawing away from my request to accompany us. Until I mentioned that you -amazing- people will be cosplaying Organisation 13!!! And now she's coming! (Shiro and I are looking for people around our age to swoop around with at the expo)

Hey, who is taken and who do you have left?
I'm not up for joining ranks, but I do love the idea of having a full Organisation 13 group attending!
If you guys do need any help with sewing/wigs/makeup then drop me a PM. I sew all the time and constantly order bulk amounts of fabric from overseas (cheaper than Spotlight!). I imagine you'd all need a truck load of shiny black PVC material for your costumes.
Also I'm a trained Revlon makeup consultant, so if you need any help with male/female contouring just ask.

Oh no! Haha, you have to have your outfits matching! Or at least, I think so as well. That way you look like an actual group. $45 p/m?? What a rip! One of my costumes a few years ago required copious amounts of black leather and I ended up ordering it all (and all my materials since) from a lovely seller in Korea. I settled on a matte black pleather which looked like a real black leather once I received it. It was only about $11 a meter and then about $6 for shipping (which was combined so that for every 4 meters I bought it only cost me about $15 in shipping or about $59NZ for 4 whole meters of fabric. And I've never even been able to find such a good price for that type or quality of material here, even when it's on sale.

And yeah, I also get my wigs from overseas, usually wholesale sellers. The trick is to do your research first on the quality of the wig fibers to make sure you don't end up with one of those nasty plastic looking shiny ones that are just yucky in photos.

Also, how do you go about buying leather like stuff seeing as you can only go on a picture, like how do you know it ifs the right feel, shiny-ness, texture and all that? Because that would be my only worry.

I'm just hoping we all vaguely resemble each other at this point, aside from my Roxas, Xion and I (Axel) but we all get the importance of cosplaying thank goodness

Any good wing sellers you know of that aren't too pricy?

I feel like I'm bombarding you with insane questions >____< Sorry Razz

Korea Vintage Cotton Minky Fabric <--- My favourite material seller. Has so many great types and colours at affordable prices.

As for material types, a lot of it is trial and error. The seller will try and give a good description of the material (or should) but you can always ask more questions about it before buying. I bought this once for a costume and was really pleased. It's a nice matte black material, quite light and airy. It can be weathered to look like a real leather. The shop is out of the black at the moment, but they seem to constantly get new stock in so it should be back soon. They also have HEAPS of shiny blacks to chose from, although the shine might become a problem for photo taking if you go that route. I'll leave the shop a note asking when the black will be back in.

As for wigs, again a lot of it is trial and error. I'm waiting for a box of wigs to arrive any week now from a China seller and I'm taking a risk with the quality as they were pretty cheap ($20NZ each) but I'll see how it goes. Generally when it comes to wigs, you want to be looking for kanekalon fibers and lace fronts with skin tops. These are usually more expensive though they won't give you that cheap plasticy look that some wigs do. And even if you do come across a plasticy wig, wash it with cider vinegar and a baby shampoo before air drying it. Then sprinkle a little baby powder through it and see if its still shiny. This sometimes helps.

So basically eeryone has bailed because they can't afford it, or they aren't going to be able to make it to CHCHgeddon So I think it's now just Axel , marluxia and Xemnas. And I'm the only one that I know will finish it at this stage sad

HOWEVER I NEED A ROXAS
How can I be Axel without my Roxy?!
