[Auckland] Costuming workshop on the same weekend as ACP

Hey guys :) In an effort to make the Rebel Legion* a little more accessible and to hopefully help anyone currently thinking about star wars costumes at all (hey, Leia is now a Disney Princess! WHich makes Luke and Han also Disney Princes....) we've decided to try to have a workshop/social/show collections day :)

[code]To get Rebel costuming rolling in the new year, Naboo Outpost will be running a costuming workshop and social meet-up on Sunday 27th January, 2013 (Auckland Anniversary weekend).

This event will be run in Auckland (Birkenhead), but will be an all day event to make it worthwhile attending for current or prospective members who are from other regions - starting from 10am, and running through to about 5pm (...or maybe even later...might turn into a barbecue in the evening, depending on numbers).

So we'll have official members and people interested in Star Wars costumes as well as access to a workshop. And the event hosts have a crazy collection of books and collectable to use as reference and inspiration :)
I'll be bringing my paints and alien headpieces and some other little bits and pieces too and other members will hopefully bring other items as well.

(*the "good guys" of the Star Wars costuming clubs- well we all raise money for charity but we have the Jedi and Clones and Queens ;) )

Can't say im super into SW these days, but would be hella interested to learn about how they made their costumes. Very Happy
