So, I thought it would be fun to create a sketchbook so I can post my progress through all the steps. Hopefully, if I manage to finish it (always the pessimist), I can have something to reflect back on and see what I could've done differently. nodnod

Hair- Will be dying my hair ginger with temporary hair dye.
Make up- I need some good concealer, but I have the other stuff like mascara and eyeliner.
Headband- I'll just buy a cheap black headband from a 2$shop.
Red Hoody- I have a red jumper that will work well for this.
Black Skirt- I'm sewing one as I speak.
Black Socks- I'll need to buy some new socks.
Navy sneakers- I have a pair of black ones, I could paint them blue instead. I've painted one, I just have to do the other
Grey tights- Brought these a day ago.

Brought new grey tights for the cosplay- they're excellent, and for once exactly how I need them.

Have been looking at temporary hair dyes- well, actually more like TRYING to find them. I can't find them- or at least not in ginger.

I've used that dye before (: I think it's easier if you just shove it into a bucket of water, shove the salt in, shove the socks in, leave it in for a few hours ... rinse, repeat if needed Razz

. Lol I never used a washing machine for it ... I'd be worried I'd damage my machine (if that's even possible with dye, lol)

I wish I'd thought of using a bucket instead. sigh

Yeah, I think I stained the machine. Forgot to wash it afterwards. sweatdrop

Does putting it on a wash cycle without any clothes in help? xD Hot water and soap included in it? xD

Yeah, I managed to get all the dye off before my mum could see by loading it with hot water and HEAPS of laundry powder. [HikaruxKaoru's Sketchbook] Amy Pond Cosplay 519410

-I finished sewing the bottom of the jumper so that it looked better- (too difficult to describe what I mean.)

-I painted one of my sneakers to see how well it would work. It worked really well! I painted them white, then painted navy blue over them. Although, I might have to waterproof them if the weather looks a bit wet. I don't want the paint coming off. I could probably rub some beeswax on it.

-I finished sewing the skirt. It fits well, and I'm happy with it. I found some black material last night as I was searching my drawers and it was perfect.

I'm about 70% finished. Just need to:
-paint the other shoe
-buy a headband
-buy some hair dye
-buy some socks
