Im Antony, some may have seen me at Armageddon in Wellington (Pokemon trainer Red) up on stage in the cosplay games trivia thing.
Ive only cosplayed a couple of times but im looking to really get into it more often than once a year at armageddon, especially into making my own costumes from scratch.
but anyways, Hi! i look forward to getting to know some of NZ's cosplay community :)

I hadn't planned on going there, seeing as i have another big trip up north to make in september as it is, but i had that much fun at wellygeddon im considering it! Id be interested to see how different it is up there.

Auckgeddon is basically THE big one for NZ. It's significantly bigger than Wellington or Christchurch (or Hamilton).

You can see some photos from around it in my gallery if you want - http://gallery.of.geek.nz - the last couple of years have been at the ASB Showgrounds, prior to that it was the Aotea Centre in town before it outgrew the venue.

Wow. Auckland does look alot bigger, is it comparable in size to big boys toys? ive been to that a couple of times when i went to school in Auckland. Looking through those pictures im seriously considering finding a way to go. And it'll give me plenty of time to work on a costume ^_^.
Besides Armageddon what other cosplay events are there in NZ? Ive seen mention to the cosplay ball and overload, id be interested in learning more about what goes on at these, and any other events there might be.

I remember seeing you, you were the first person to ask me for a photo ^_^ I totally agree, guy cosplayers seem to be well under represented XD

funny you should ask, cause ive actually always wanted to do Roy Mustang Razz

besides that i have many other plans, Samurai Jack, A dragonite and tyranitar gijinka, Silver, Justin (grandia). the list goes ooonnn, i have no idea where ill find the time.

And yes, im pretty much set on going to auckland now. ill find a way to make it happen Very Happy
