Anyone going to SAN-Con?

I only heard about it recently and I wanted to put it out there for other cosplayers that didn't know~ I wana know whos going so I won't feel lonely ^^;;

This is primarily a group of 'nerdy' university clubs who thought their members would have similar interests. It's a chance for everyone to see what the other clubs are about. Having said that they are not turning away anyone who wants to go, although I have heard it is $20?

AnimeSoc, The University Renaissance and Medieval Club, gamers and others I think? Sci-Fi club? There is a chance to learn swordfighting and chainmail making and renaissance dancing.

I hear in future years they may advertise it more widely, and make it into more of a geek convention. Someone said like armageddon without the wrestling and the kids games, etc. Although that may not be a valid comparison as they also don't have lots of Sci-Fi actors and voice actors flowen in from overseas for panels either. But then neither do the NZ Sci-Fi cons. Who knows what it will end up being.

I did mention to someone from anime soc that I could do an anime cosplay, but not sure I will go.
