/already started next comp cosplay

My Red so far. <3
This isn't the top I'm wearing under it fo' realz. The top I'm wearing under it is in the wash atm. XD

I'm not sure whether to take off the white strips at the front or not. I'm doing the original game version of him, which doesn't have them. But if I take them off, I'll have to re-sew the front with red thread, instead of black. >___> Having next to no red thread sucks when you have a mostly red cosplay to make. XD
Opinions on taking the white strips off the front, gaiz?

Attempted to make some progress on my DWC!Kaito by cutting this really crap $2 wig. Just for practise more than anything.

I failed miserably. ;AA; See below for wig and intense-face.

Any chance I can save that for some other cosplay (suggest) or should I just kick it to the kerb, in a matter of speaking?

I showed someone a pic of the over skirt before Wellygeddon and it looks quite similar, but I've done quite a lot to the insignia, lots of unpicking and resewing by hand, tiny stitches everywhere to change the shape. Not perfect, but major improvement compared to before (even though the camera can't pick it up OTL )

@Thread: (This totally counts as progress btw) Just screencapped every useful shot of the outfit I'm doing. I then stared at said screen caps and drew out some main parts of Sugata's outfit including sorting out leg armor pieces.
