Music you associate with games.

Right so this could probably be in the games forum as well, but uhh, does anyone have any albums that they listened to while playing a game, or just music in particular, to the point that you tend to think of the game whenever you listen to the music or vice versa

Here's the list of mine from what I can remember

A Perfect Circle ~ Shadow of the Colossus
Trivium ~ Dragon Quest
Rammstein ~ Black
Lord of the Rings: Return of the King Soundtrack ~ Oblivion
And... for some strange reason.. FF7 Advent Children OST ~ Kingdom Hearts 2

So when I listen to them I always think of those games now

Anyone else have any examples?

That happens to me when I watch AMVs etc. Espicially if I end up downloading the song afterwards, the only thing I can associate it with is that game/anime.

Also when a song in anime/game plays during espicially dramatic bits, I end up always being sad/whatever emotion when I listen to that song xD

Though I do associate 'Running up that Hill' & 'They call me the wild rose' with Shadow of the Colossus.... Blame my sister/me (xD) for singing those songs while I was playing the game.

I associate 'Demolition Lovers' by My Chemical Romance with Crisis Core...

And also, I think of the 'Shoes' song whenever I play Jak 3.

I listened to Greatest Works - Yohji Biomehanika while playing SMT: Raidou Kuzunoha for some hours. It was great, hard trance and 1920's Japan with demon slaying go together surprisingly well!

hmm, no, not for me - I tend to associate music with books, not video games as I prefer to listen to the game music whilst playing. ^^;

I will admit however that I associate music heard in an AMV with a game though, like azeria. :)

And yes! Please do share the Shoes story Pyro. Very Happy

i know this may sound a little odd but i ive never really connected my songs to the games i play it could be the games i play or music i listen to but i have taken to the habbit of playing all my music on random when im playing games i havnt had game sounds on in wow for over a year i always have music going or voice chat i asociate people with games too much voice chat

I associate the song 'Connected' by Hoobastank with the Kingdom hearts series cos the lyrics are pretty much about people being connected, just like KH, oh and i saw a really good amv of KH with this song but i associated the it before i saw the amv
