The Convention Role Play

As the bus turned down Queen Street Kat started jiggling in excitement. Oh this was gonna be so much fun! She gathered up all her stuff and jumped off as soon as the door opened, struggling the one block to Aoetea square and down the stairs. She stared at the Fenrir parked up outside and glanced up to see a Cloud and a Leon and Yuffie and something to do with feathers.

"Competition!" she laughed to herself and went to say hi.

"Oh my god! Is that your real chest?" "Can I touch it?" "That's your natural hair colour?" "Did you make it all yourself?" "Do you work out?"

Seth twitched slightly. He knew that something like this would happen if he decided to come to 'Geddon as Sasori. He was wearing nothing but his Akatsuki cloak, pants and sandals, the lines and 'heart' of Sasori having been tattooed onto his skin long before this day.

He hadn't even been in the square for a minute and already the fangirls were flocking. He had just arrived and had been heading for the entrance, bypassing the line due to having prebought his tickets, though he didn't really feel as though he would actually be able to get inside at this rate.

Matt blushed slightly at the other Matt's motions.
"Hey, uh, guys?" Bianca said abruptly. "It's like, after ten, and you haven't even gotten into the expo yet... You should probably line up." She reached into her cloak and pulled out a VIP pass.
"As you can see, I'm set."

Kimi allowed the laughter to roll out of her as Rika sprang on the Larsa, pulling the pair to the ground. She hadn't seen such a hilarious expression since... Well, ever! She bent down off her chair and extended a hand to the bewildered boy.
"Want some help?"

"Ugh.. Yes." replied Luke, as the other girl pulled him off the ground.
"Thank goodness I didn't have any props on me.. That would have ruined it all." He glared at his attacker, who was literally rolling on the floor with laughter.

"...She's not mentally retarded is she? No normal person would do that..."

Rain sighed slightly as she nodded a thanks to the young Seifer cosplayer who had just bought her some donuts from a nearby Dunkin' Donuts trailer cart thing and, popping one of the small, icing-sugar coated balls of deep-fried fatty goodness, headed towards the doors, her VIP tag hanging around her neck.

She was fine with crowds, unlike her dad who was stuck inside working the Vagabond table, which was how she had gotten her three-day VIP pass.

She paused for a moment, looking down at her hands as she realized how difficult it would be to eat these donuts were she wearing her gloves, which were skillfully held to her stomach by her suspenders.

Giving a nod and a donut to the security guard at the door, who was also a close friend of her fathers, she slipped into the building.

Seth gave a light growl, eventually having lost his patience with the hoard of fangirls, and looked around himself for a good way to distract the fans. Suddenly he spotted it and pointed to a pair of Roxas and Axel cosplayers doing some well noticed fanservicing.

As all the girls looked and ran off, Seth smirked to himself. "So predicatable," He muttered, reaching into his cloak and pulling out a small plastic flask, taking a swig from it.

He wasn't an alcoholic. He just liked whiskey.

"I'm not really sure, sorry." Kimi replied worriedly. "I only met her this morning, myself..." She smiled at the Larsa.
"Are you okay?" She looked him up and down. "Actually, more to the point, is your costume okay? I hope she didn't ruin it."

"HEY. I HEARD THAT!" came a yell from the floor.
Luke ignored the girl on the floor. "Yeah, it's fine. It'll last for the weekend" he said with a shrug.

Kimi rolled her eyes at Rika's statement, before smiling a warm smile.
"You're cosplaying Larsa all weekend?" She inquired.

"Yeah," he replied, pulling slightly at his hair. "Mum wouldn't let me make another cosplay because I spent a LOT of money on this..."

"Ah." She replied. "I'm cosplaying different things every day... Rosette, today, then tomorrow, Fai... And, ah, what was Monday?" She desperately wracked her brains for answers, before suddenly coming up with the one she was looking for.
"Monday I'm Vayne."

"...Vayne? As in FFXII Vayne?" Luke blinked in surprise. When the girl nodded, he cracked a smile.

"Well I'll be seeing you on Monday right, brother?"

"Of course you will." She replied cheerily, before putting on her best Vayne smile, and lowering her voice. "I will be expecting great results, Lord Brother, and bequeath you to look upon me not only as a consul, but as a friend." She giggled slightly after her recital.
"You entering the cosplay contest?"

"Yeah, for costume workmanship only. I don't have a skit or anything prepared. None of my other friends are into cosplay so I really didn't have anyone I could act with..."

"Oh Larsaaaah~~~!" cried Rika in a high girly voice. She advanced towards the boy who as soon as he spotted her, started twitching unnaturally. She say him mutter something to Kimi and run off.

"Waaaaaaaaah! He doesn't like meeee!"

Matt blushed slightly at the other Matt's motions.
"Hey, uh, guys?" Bianca said abruptly. "It's like, after ten, and you haven't even gotten into the expo yet... You should probably line up." She reached into her cloak and pulled out a VIP pass.
"As you can see, I'm set."
Matt shrugged and looked at the line (a lot of which was still staring at the Fenrir parked a few meters from them). "Yeah, you're probably right. Up ya get, Jordan.
Jordan, who was still resting his head on the blonde's lap, groaned. but didn't move.... until he was prodded in the ribs, that is. He squirmed his way into a sitting position and Matt led him by the hand to the line, waving as they went.

Sam smiled and took Matt's seat, taking her own VIP pass from her pocket.
"I hate waiting in line."

Kat sighed as the group ahead of her started to split up before she got to them. It would have been nice to meet a bunch all at once.

She headed towards the queue - even for prepaid tickets there was a bit of a wait, and at 10:00 as well! She arrived there about the same time as....
