Tips for audio recorded skits, y/y?

I've seen a couple of the (very) cool audio recorded skits every year during judging and such, and I just wanted to hear a bit on the topic, like... when you guys play it on stage, is it recorded on a CD? And what sort of programs did you use to mix up the skits? Anything special with the background noises/music? What device did you use during judging to play the skit? Any technical problems you wanna give the heads up for? Just anything to share the knowledge around~~

Is Singing a song a skit?

I plan to cosplay Rika (possibly for competition) and I was wondering if singing a song was considered a skit?
I want to either sing :

Nageki no Mori (English dubbed version: The Forest of Lamentations)
or
Naraku no Hana 'full song' (English dubbed version: Flower from Hell)

but i'm not sure if that is considered as anything. o_O

So it helps if we just ask...

Anyone here for help on our skits or passing skit ideas out to others to try? Is that how this part of the forums work? Sorry for sounding like a friggin troll Anyone tried a Axel dancing and lip syncing to the song My Best friend by Aqua?(feel sorry for me for knowing that) And Axel is doing it to Sora or Roxas? :) Yep i just finished playing KH2 today.....

Team oblivion is doing a skit for auckgeddon 2009. It's Kairi, Roxas and aerith. What happens is Kairi and Roxas are fighting with keyblades and Aerith tries to break up te fight by throwing flowers and yelling and making hand signals. while we do this the one winged angle theme song will play. feedback plz! 8D

I'm just wondering if the skits have to be themed to one thing or if you can do cross overs? Me being L, my friend being someone from Kingdom Hearts (she told me the name but I forget ) and another being Hinata, that kinda thing? Because I have an idea for skit that wont really matter if the other characters are not from the same thing. Never done a skit at geddon before so just wondering.

The plot is that Cloud doesn't dance so Yuffie (My sister), Aeris (me) and Tifa try to convince him to dance *gasp for air* And we all end up dancing to I Don't Feel Like Dancing. I'm not so sure about it though.
